New Website

Hey everyone, as you know this is part of my university project and for the rest of my project i have created a website that i can hold more information on about different learning difficulties and what can be done to help you live with them. If you would like to go and see my website at http://learningdifficultieshelp.yolasite.com/ you are more than welcome. I would be appreciative of any feedback from you. Thanks Stacey

Hello

I haven't been online for a while as you know i have been writing two book reviews for one of my assignments at university. I have just started using different coloured sheets of paper to print out my research as i find it easier to read and take in the information that i am reading. Another availability which is more expensive to start with but cheaper in the long run and i mean a lot cheaper, would be to buy a clear plastic overlay of the specific colour needed. The colour which i use is aqua. These overlays can be found almost anywhere. The website that i found is called Learning Space and they have lots of different colours of overlays and they come at affordable prices to suit everybody, so there is no need to worry about getting the things you need to help yourself or someone you care about with their dyslexia or any other specific learning difficulties. The website Learning Space not only sells overlays but a variety of different things to help children with their education, however it is not just children that could benefit from the items that are on sale on this website. I will attach a link at the bottom of this post that you will be able to click on and it will take you straight to the Learning Space website. There are many other websites that provide a wide range variety of all things for different learning difficulties. All of these different items can be used in an education environment or at home. Tomorrow i will include more websites for information on coping with different learning difficulties.

Kids with learning difficulties.

Hey all,

If you are a parent of a child with a learning difficulty, then you will understand how difficult it is to get the help you need for your children. However there are many different websites online to help you overcome these problem and support your child. I have recently been looking at learning styles etc, in order to help me study for my university degree. I have come across this one for children. http://kidshealth.org/Search01.jsp This website is very good for parents and children with learning difficulties. There is the option for the page to read to you the information it is displaying, which I found an extremely helpful tool, as the website has a white background and i struggle with it somewhat. I would recommend you go on here and check it out. Let me know what you think.

A New Beginning.

It doesn't always seem this way, but today for some reason it is all clear. It is clear to me what I have to do to become successful in life. OK I might be a little slow sometimes and take longer than other people to get to where I need to be, but at the end of the day, if you want something so bad that you just wouldn't be yourself without it, then you can go out there and get and no one and I mean no one can get in your way.
This past few weeks or so, have been some of the most difficult weeks of my life, not just as a student but as me. I wouldn't be where I am today without the struggles that I have had to face. All my life I have wanted to find a purpose for being here, on this earth in this country and in the predicament we are all in at some point of our lives. I as a student have struggled for the past few years to learn, I have recently had a dyslexia screening test, the results have come back that I am dyslexic. However, I have been told that this may have been the case for many years however I did not want to admit to myself or anyone else for that matter, that I sometimes need a little extra help just to push me up to the top of that long steep mountain of education. It doesn't have to be this way for everyone, a learning difficulty is not something that we should be ashamed or embarrassed about, it is a fact of life and there are a lot more people than we really think struggling with this difficulty all over the world. I am student on an English Degree course and I am currently studying my second year. Now if I can do it, you can do it. Don't sit around waiting for something to come to you, go out there and grab it with both hands, life is too short to sit and wait. Work at it, Enjoy it, Love it and most of all Live it. Your dream is out there somewhere.
